Libraries

University of Miami Libraries
There are many libraries in the undergraduate campus, and as medical students, we have access to all of them simply with a swipe of our student IDs. Library hours can be accessed via the link above. Make sure to check before you go because hours vary depending on the undergraduate schedule.

Otto G. Ritcher Library (Main)

Pros: filled with desktops, pin drop quiet Stacks, color printers/copiers/scanners.
Cons: somewhat noisy first floor

Judi Prokop Newman Information Resources Center (Business)

Marta and Austin Weeks Music Library

Pros: extremely quiet, good view of lake, few people

Cons: early hours

University of Miami Law Library

Pros: located next to Subway (with microwave!), extremely quiet
Cons: no desktop computers, lots of people, law students

Printing

Every student has $100.00 per year to print in the undergrad campus. To access it, you need to use your C number in the UPrint system.
Black & white pages: $0.05
Color pages: $0.10

UM’s undergraduate/ main campus is accessible by metrorail – get off at the University stop!

Patti and Allen Herbert Wellness Center

This gym offers a wider variety of services than its counterpart at the Med Campus. !It has 3 basketball courts inside and another 6 outside (currently under renovation until November 2010). Basketballs are available for free rental at the Pro Shop. For those interested, the undergraduate Wellness Center features 4 racquetball courts and 2 squash courts. Racquets are available for 2 hour rental at the Pro Shop upon request. There are also 6 tennis courts just outside, however they have different hours than the Wellness Center. There are also various group exercise classes offered throughout the week, however they require additional fees.

Parking is only free in some lots after 4 PM on weekdays. Check signs denoting enforcement policies. Parking is free all day on weekends.
